Camper Mode mimics activating your climatisation from the VW app. As such, fan speed can't be adjusted manually.
To conserve battery life, the time between climatisation cycles can be adjusted in the dashboard. Longer intervals results in less frequent cycles and lower battery consumption at the cost of temperature variance.
If using Camper Mode for sleeping, remember to turn off automatic window heating and heated seats in either settings, the infotainment or VW app.
Every 5 minutes, a process runs to start the climatisation where needed. It might result in small pauses between AC cycles, even though you have selected 0 minutes pause.
From the Dashboard you can monitor your vehicle's historic battery consumption when running Camper Mode. This is the basis for estimating battery usage when starting a new session.
If VW Connect response time is very slow, the communication will time out. It might still work, but you need to manually check if climatisation has started.
A 500 error indicates a server issue. It could be due to VW Connect. Check if you are able to login to the VW website and have new terms and conditions to accept
As the website mimics the functionality of the VW app, an active and available VW Connect account is required for proper operation.
If you are not comfortable with entering your VW Connect credentials on this website, please do not use the service. Home Assistant with the proper integrations lets you run your own server at home, with the same functionality. Sharing your credentials with a 3rd party always poses a risk.
